Map updates

In order to receive map updates for your iGO My way 2006 Plus navigation software, please visit the  my.navngo.com website. Currently it offers 2008/10 (2008 Q4) map updates of European countries.

Using the site requires user registration with a valid product license key. Please log in, then choose the My updates page to see the available map updates.

Some map updates are currently available free of charge*, and other updates can be purchased at the  my.navngo.com site with online credit card payment.

Different updates might be available for different versions of iGO My way navigation software, depending on the SD-card size and the pre-installed maps. As a general rule, every version of iGO My way can have its map content updated (provided a more recent update of the map is available than the one installed on the software), while some versions with an SD-card of at least 512 MB memory capacity can also be upgraded to a full European map.** Map updates on the my.navngo.com site require you to have an SD-card reader.

Here is how to update your maps:

To update your maps please:

1.    Sign in to the http://my.navngo.com website and open the 'My updates' page.
(If you have forgotten your password, use the password reminder on the login page.)

2.    After receiving your activation code, copy and paste it into the Content Manager PC-tool. (Choose Product Upgrade in the Tools menu) 

3.    Download the updates from our server to your PC with the Content Manager (by clicking on “Update all” button in the toolbar), then copy them to your SD card (by choosing the “Install all” icon). (Map update requires an SD card reader)

4.    If your iGO My way SD card has a memory of 512 MB or more, you can also get the full Europe map upgrade.

Important notes:

• updates and upgrades can only be installed on your original iGO My way SD card,
• the map updates do not appear automatically in the Content Manager PC-tool, because a license is required to download them,
• map updates are not available for customers from Germany (with German IP address).

* Free maps are only available as updates to those users that have previous versions of these maps. They are not available as extra maps to increase map coverage of your iGO My way software.
** Please note that 512 MB SD-cards do not have enough capacity to store the map of all countries of Europe at the same time. You can use your Content Manager tool to delete some maps on your card and upload others.

Upgrade to the latest Nav N Go iGO 8 version

Registered users of iGO My way 2006 Plus Europe and iGO My way 2006 Plus Western-Europe versions can upgrade their products to Nav N Go iGO 8 version at the my.navngo.com website.*

The upgrade package contains both this latest software version with its unique 3D navigation engine and 3D maps for all Europe. The upgrade process is similar to the map update process described above.

Users of other map versions (e.g. Baltics, Iberia or Eastern Europe) unfortunately cannot upgrade due to insufficient memory storage space (1 GB is required to store all 3D maps).

* In order to install Nav N Go iGO 8 Europe with all European country maps, a 2 GB SD-card is required. If you have an SD-card with a smaller memory capacity, you will not be able to upload all European country maps to your card at the same time.
