Previous updates
All iGO My way users are recommended to install the iGO My way update package to gain access to the latest software and map versions. Please consider that your access to the free updates depends on the type of the iGO My way product you have purchased.
Download and run the appropriate update package to quickly and easily discover if you are entitled to access any software or map updates. Updater and MapLoader are easy to use; all you have to do is follow the instructions displayed in the application.
Unlike Updater, the MapLoader application does not download the update components (software, maps, etc.) from the Internet but includes them all in a self-contained package. You only need an Internet connection to authenticate your copy of the navigation software to be updated. Any HTTP proxy settings should be disabled during the download process.
Please consult the List of Supported Devices prior to launching the update, then follow the steps outlined in the Installation Guide.

MapLoader Application Guide
General Information
MapLoader updates the iGO My way navigation software and its maps, and also assists you in safely managing map files. Using MapLoader you can easily and quickly have the maps downloaded from or uploaded to your SD memory card or device according to your current needs and the available storage space. In addition, MapLoader provides you with information on your current maps and lets you know if you are entitled to download any updates..
Unlike Updater, the new MapLoader application does not download the update components (software, maps, etc.) from the internet but includes them all in a self-contained package. You only need an internet connection to authenticate your copy of the navigation software to be updated.
Unlike Updater, the new MapLoader application does not download the update components (software, maps, etc.) from the internet but includes them all in a self-contained package. You only need an internet connection to authenticate your copy of the navigation software to be updated.
How to use MapLoader
The main screen of MapLoader displays a two-column map list. On the left you will find the locally available (downloaded) maps, while on the right are the maps installed in the iGO My way product (residing on the SD memory card or PNA device). Both columns provide 3 details:
- The name of the country whose map is stored in the map file.
- The size of the map.
- The 6-digit version number of the map.
- The green ‘up’ arrow shows a recommended update. You can also identify updates based on the version number of the map.
- The blue equal sign means that the map currently installed in iGO My way and the locally available map are identical. No update is needed in this case.
- The grey ‘down’ arrow indicates that the map currently installed in iGO My way is newer than the one locally available.
NOTICE: Use this function ONLY if you have ONLY ONE product. If you have more than one product (e.g. iGO My way Europe; iGO My way Romania, etc.) make a backup of your SD cards separately with simple copy and paste methods on your PC from the other product. Do not use the Backup function if you own more than one product, as it always restores the last backup independently of the inserted card’s content.
Click [Restore] to restore the previously saved backup copy.
The upper part of the screen also displays a drop-down language selection field, set the operating system language to default.
Next to it is a connection icon in green or red depending whether the connection with the iGO My way server is active or not.
Select the maps to update/install and click the [Install] button. If there is not enough free space on the SD memory card or on the PNA device, MapLoader displays an error message. If this happens you need to remove the old maps.
MapLoader ignores selections for identical versions in both columns. To restore a corrupted map, first you need to remove the old one on the right and then reinstall.
